Spring has sprung but some days I think mother nature is still confused whether or not it’s still spring or if its still winter!! Here on the island, it has been a cooler than average spring. I’ve experienced warmer days in January! I recently made an unexpected trip back home to About that trip back home – one of my best friend’s husband passed away suddenly. Her husband, Greg Corcoran, was also a great friend and a great musician. He taught many band students in the local schools and the past few years was teaching private lessons. Greg’s talent was insurmountable. He was the master of all instruments – especially the flute, saxophone, guitar and his voice. His talent and his friendship will be greatly missed. For the past two years, I have been attending the Vancouver Island Music Business Conference in Courtenay here on the island which happens in June. For all of you independent musicians, if you want to make headway into your career and want networking opportunities, this is the conference you need to attend. I learned so much from this conference and I have made some great connections which is helping in my career. The conference also has showcase opportunities and I am very happy to say that I have been chosen to showcase!! I don’t have the details of the date and time yet but I will be sure to post as soon as I do!! Visit the website at http://www.vimbc.com. Thank you to all who have been fans or just become a fan. I appreciate all your support, comments and compliments. Shelly |

April Showers, life and Music Business Conference.
Spring has sprung but some days I think mother nature is still confused whether or not it’s still spring or if its still winter!! Here on the island, it has been a cooler than average spring. I’ve experienced warmer days in January! I recently made an unexpected trip back home to Peace River , Alberta where the sun was shining and the snow was melting. Yet just a few days ago, family and friends were reporting on Facebook that it was snowing again.
